For the 2023 BEYOND World Tour across the United States, I served as the Lead and Concept Designer on a series of immersive concert visuals for K-pop artist Whee In. Our team developed eight unique video segments tailored for each city on the tour — including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Washington D.C., and New York — helping elevate the fan experience across thousands of attendees.
Working in collaboration with Wonderwall and TheL1VE, I led a fully remote, international team of 20 artists and animators, managing cross-time-zone communication and creative coordination from concept through delivery.
Creative Concept
The VCR series transformed each city stop into a visual gallery, walking through the eras of Whee In’s career. Every video functioned as a curated “frame” in this evolving gallery — combining fan-submitted artwork, personal messages, and era-specific design elements.
I developed the overarching creative direction, storyboards, and motion design assets, while also illustrating key visual elements. My goal was to create a space where fellow fan artists could be spotlighted, celebrating the community’s creativity in tandem with Whee In’s journey as a performer.
Fan Engagement
To further deepen fan interaction, I designed a custom Instagram AR filter, allowing fans to create and share personalized visuals during the tour. Submissions through the filter were later integrated into the final VCR shown at the Brooklyn stop, blurring the line between fan and artist and making the final experience feel truly collaborative.
